Plumbing/Clog Question?

We have two bathrooms in our home. Neither toilet flushes. It seems something is clogging one or both toilets. We have tried using a plunger, Rid-X, Liquid Plumber, and none of them seem to work. Water even comes up into the bathtubs. Whenever we run the washing machine the toilets start to bubble.

Do you know what caused this problem? Can we fix the issue ourselves, or are we going to need to call a plumber?

Thanks!

Plumbing/Clog Question?
It will depend on how handy you are and how willing you are to possibly get really dirty. It certainly sounds like you've got a plugged main drain line, especially if all those fixtures are backing up. You'll need to investigate to find the runs that come from the fixtures in question, how they connect to the main run and if there are any cleanout plugs that can be removed. You'll also need a power snake, which can be very clumsy and heavy to maneauver down steps and around a basement. You'll need plenty of water and lots of towels. If this doesn't sound like fun to you then you'd better call a Roto-Rooter guy or some plumber that snakes drains.
Reply:You might well want to call the plumber...you should NOT mix different chemical drain openers...you might find out the hard way that they don't mix well and thats not the type of open pipe you want...also most chemical drain openers can NOT be put down the toilet since they heat up and can blow the toilet (crack)you are best to put them down the sink if possible, and in this case you should be able to do that since it's a main line that is blocked...
Reply:your explanation is accurate and you have the classic symptoms of a "mainline stoppage". You will need to have a rooter service snake the main sewer line.

the proof is when you say water comes up in the bathtub and/or the toilets start to bubble. these are the two most classic symptom.
Reply:You have a blockage in the soil pipe.

you need to rod the pipes to clear the blockage.

do you have a access point / man hole cover?

Hope you have not been flushing the baby wipes things down the pan. They are always causing blockages. Should be a large warning on the packs.
Reply:Take a look at "Videojug' - the link is below. They show you how to do ANYTHING!!

Sounds as if you need a plumber but give it a try. If this doesn't work nothing will.
