Dish sink is clogged please help?

MY SINK IS CLOGGED AND I DONT KNO HOW TO UNCLOG IT. I TRIED WIT THE PLUNGER AMMONIA BUT THEY HAVENT WORKED. ITS BEEN CLOGGED FOR ABOUT THREE DAYS NOW..

Dish sink is clogged please help?
j trap has to plastic nuts too it remove and take trap out, but have bucket or something under it cause the water will come rushing the second its off. You should find all kinds of goodies in the trap. Clean that out and reach up in the pipe to see if there is anything stuck there. Hair and what not like to cling to the mechanism that operates the drain stopper. Its a fun process, and to avoid problems don't go clean the trap in another sink cause your just gonna end up cleaning that one out as well. Flush the gunk down the toilet.
Reply:Plungers usually work, and you pumping up and down really fast for about 30 seconds or so? Plus, you need enough water in the sink to cover the plunger to create a suction.

If that doesn't work, I would snake or remove the J-trap under the sink, thats usually where the clog is. If its deeper than that, you may need to snake the drain deeper, or get to the main (if its the main, other sinks and drains will be backing up too.)
Reply:take the j tripe off under the sink. then run a snike in the pipe that go in the well . do it adout 3 time then it be oplen . put the tripe bqack on and trun the water on . so you check for leak.
Reply:Go buy some Drain-o

2-Part of drain in the wall is blocked by grease and trash foods .If you have drain cleaner(spring) ,send to the drain till open the blocked area .

3- assemble drain and use 1/4 gallon drain openers(liquid) before using sink.
Reply:Do you have a garbage disposer with that sink? if you do, turn the water on and use a plunger and turn on the garbage disposal and plunge, plunge, and plunge some more, very hard up and down.....dont pour junk like drano, ammonia, that stuff is useless.......that should work.....hope you dont have a fork or spoon stuck in there....that could be a problem.
Reply:it's called a plumber, lady. why do you think ppl get that job?
Reply:You will probably have to call someone. The same thing happened to mine. Mine was clogged for two weeks. You have to have someone come fix it. The drain-o won't work.
Reply:Buy this stuff called Draino for sinks, to unstop clogged pipes and draines, or " liquid Draino".
Reply:Go buy a product called Plumb-Away--it opens any drain, even toilets instantly and doesn't use harsh chemicals. Also, 1 can will open about 8 or more drains.
Reply:bail the sink out so there is no water in it. then boil a large pot of water and pour it in the drain. not just hot it has to be boiling and be carafull please
Reply:call a plumber call a plumber call a plumber. a company that will snake the drain for a flat fee. (like roto rooter )75-150 bucks

Question about blood clog?

my grandpa has blood clog somewhere in his body due to the fact he is getting old and his blood vessals begin to shrink..

the thing is.. in order to identify where the blood clog is the doctor has to inject something into his body in order to show on the MRI.. and that procedure alone is very bad for his kidney or liver..

we are not sure what's the best solution here....

Question about blood clog?
Hopes this helps, found it here http://www.medicinenet.com/deep_vein_thr...

Good Luck with your GPA, I hope he will be OK

How is a DVT diagnosed?

Several tests, each of which has certain advantages and limitations, can be used to diagnose the presence of a DVT. The oldest of these tests is venography. This test is performed by injecting a radiopaque fluid (dye that can be seen on an x–ray) into a vein on the top of the foot. The dye flows with the blood and fills the veins of the leg, thigh, and pelvis. An obstructing blood clot in one of these veins can be seen on an x–ray as a dye–free area within the vein. Venography is the most accurate test to identify a DVT, but it is painful, expensive, and occasionally can itself cause painful inflammation of the veins (phlebitis). Furthermore, venography requires a high degree of expertise to perform and interpret correctly.

Because of these problems, venography has largely been replaced by venous ultrasonography for the diagnosis of DVTs. Venous ultrasonography uses sound waves to examine the veins to determine if a blood clot is present, much the same way as sound waves are used from the surface of the ocean to detect submarines that are beneath the water. An ultrasound probe is placed on the skin over the deep veins of the legs, while applying gentle pressure to see if the vein can be squeezed shut. A normal vein can be easily squeezed whereas a vein that has a clot cannot. A recent improvement in venous ultrasonography is the addition of another sound wave technology called Doppler (Duplex) ultrasound. This technique improves the identification of blood clots in veins by determining the amount of blood flowing in the veins. Veins with clots have slow or no flow of blood.

The major advantages of venous ultrasonography are that it is non– invasive (safe), painless, easy to perform, and capable of diagnosing 96% of patients with DVTs above the knee. (Incidentally, above the knee is the most dangerous location for DVTs because although they are less likely to cause symptoms, they are more apt to grow larger and form larger pulmonary emboli than DVTs below the knee.)

Although rarely used today, another technique for diagnosing DVTs is impedance plethysmography. In this procedure, blood pressure cuffs are placed on the legs to determine the pressures at which the veins are filled or collapsed, so that obstructing blood clots can be identified.

Recently, studies involving magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), another non–invasive imaging technique, have demonstrated its effectiveness in diagnosing DVTs, especially in the thigh and pelvic veins. These early studies, however, were done in small numbers of patients, and most physicians are waiting for the results of further studies before recommending MRI to diagnose DVTs. This can be helpful in patients who have impaired kidney function who cannot, as a result, receive iodine containing contrast agents.
Reply:First of all - it's a blood CLOT, not a blood CLOG. Wow, do you get out at all?? Second, get the MRI.
Reply:Well....does he have problems w/his kidnies or liver....you should probably look the stuff up online to see how badly the injection can affect his kidnies %26amp; liver.

I read on a site that blood clots in the elderly are usually somewhere in the legs if they aren't really active...

I'm sorry about your grandpa sweetie...I know ur definetly not happy about this...the situation definetly sucks
Reply:its a blood clot
Reply:First, Let me say this thank for the interesting question. So I have one for all the comments later correcting the word from "clogs" to clots, so I ask how many had trouble with making the same determination.

Thanks
Reply:Get a second opinion. Blood clots are usually handled with blood thinners. There may not be a need to damage your grandpa's health further.
Reply:first of all it's called a blood clot...honey, listen to the doctors, they know how much risk is involved and how to priorities. Hang in there and as scary as it sounds....put your trust in the professionals. Good luck, sweety
Reply:A blood clot can be extremely bad and deadly! I was just hurt and Im suppossed to be on bed rest for the next month BUT they wanted me to atleast try to use crutches for awhile because if u r immobile for too long u can develop blood clots which can kill u in the long run. Ive had MRI's in the past where they did have to inject with a dye so they can see certain things more clearly- and as far as I know its a safe procedure but if it makes u and your family feel better- definetely get a 2nd opinion! Theres no harm in a 2nd doctor telling u what he thinks! Better safe than sorry! My dad was diabetic and passed away years ago due to complications. he actually died from a cough drop! The sugar contained in a cough drop is WAY out there and he had a cold and took the cough drops and it put him in a diabetic coma. He ended up having a heart attack while in his coma. DEFINETELY get a 2nd opinion but blood clots can cost him his life so its not something he wants to wait on too long! U r in my thoughts!

My nipple is clogged, help????

I breastfeed and all of a sudden my nipple seems to be clogged, I noticed this when I was pumping and hardly anything was coming out , but my boob was very full. It hurts so bad, I looked at my nipple and noticed a white little dot on it I tried to rub it away but realized that is where the clog is, I can't take it out and it hurts so much when my baby nurses... help.

My nipple is clogged, help????
That clog is called a bleb. It's a plugged nipple pore--similar to and often related to a plugged milk duct in the breast. It is not a breast infection, although it *can* become one if left untreated--not to mention the pain!!

To open the plug, first of all nurse *often*--at least every 2 hours during the day (timed from the beginning of one feeding to the beginning of the next).

Next apply very warm water just before each feeding. Either dip the breast into a bowl of very warm water (as warm as possible but still comfortable) or apply a wet towel or washcloth. Nurse immediately after.

Try different nursing positions. If you normally nurse with your baby across your lap, try lying down instead, or the "football hold" where you place baby along your side with her/his head in your lap.

If none of the home remedies help, you need to see your doctor. She/he can open it with a sterilized needle. It does *not* hurt (the needle goes into the pore, not into your skin) and you will have immediate relief.

When the plug opens, you may see a "string" of dried milk. It is *normal* and it will not harm your baby.
Reply:This would happen to me all the time and it really hurts like hell. How often do you pump? Do you pump more often than you nurse?

The best thing (although I know it will be so painful at first) is to nurse your baby. Your baby's mouth will naturally draw out the milk that is backing up the clogged duct.

You can also stand under a hot shower and slowly massage the nipple, this will help draw out the milk. If you do this right before nursing your baby, it won't hurt as much.

The problem with pumping (which I learned first-hand) is that the suction doesn't mimic a baby's mouth and therefore won't completely empty all your milk ducts. So you are bound to have some become backed up. For a while when I was nursing, I was pumping more often than actually nursing (looooong story) and constantly had clogged ducts. Eventually I would only pump after I finished nursing (if my baby was full but there was still a lot of milk left).

Try doing breast compressions while you are pumping (squeezing the breast and releasing over and over). This will help empty the ducts.

Finally, if the pain persists, check with your doctor to make sure you don't have an infection.

Good luck
Reply:Some places have a 24-hour nurse you can call at the hospital, if not "google" the term "clogged nipple" and you should have a lot of advice, here's one website I found just by doing this:

http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/baby/ba...

Look under "What should I do?"
Reply:Try using a hot compress or standing in a hot shower and letting the how water run down your breast, then massage until it becomes unclogged. I know this is very painful, but the pain will get worse if you don't unclog your pore.
Reply:HUN... GO SEE A DOCTOR... I HOPE ITS NOTHING SERIOUS.. GOOD LUCK THO... !!!
Reply:put a warm compress on it and massage it. a hot shower may also help along with massaging it. also i have heard cabbage leaves help, sounds crazy but a doctor told me to do that when i was breast feeding.
Reply:put a warm compress on it for a few minutes before nursing or pumping. even though it hurts like crazy, you need to keep pumping and nursing to get the clog out. if you start running a fever or the area gets more swollen and reddened you might need to see the doctor. if it is clogged very close to the nipple or on the areola, nurse the baby on the other side first so they don't nurse quite as strongly.
Reply:See a doctor.Mastitis is not restricted to animals.
Reply:Hot water. Apply a hot water compress or take a shower. This also helps the milk let down. If it's no better tomorrow, call your doctor.
Reply:Try taking a hot shower or bath. Maybe the heat will stimulate your breats and take the clog out. You may need to see a doctor. If this has to do with your baby, then you need to see a doctor.
Reply:I just finished nursing after 10 months of it. I know this can really hurt! Its probably a clogged milk duct. Stand in the shower with the water as hot as you can stand and let it run over your breasts. You can also take hot wash cloths or hot packs and put them on your breasts or in your bra. The best way to relieve this though is to keep nursing. The more the baby sucks the faster it will get unclogged. Good luck!
Reply:Yeah lot of hot compress wud help! U cud try wrapping a hot wash cloth around ur breast covering nipples. I know its so much painful :(

also chk breastfeeding.com to get more tips abt nursing and problems associated with it.
Reply:i dont know but can u tell all ur friends to answer my question

My ears are clogged!?

i woke up this morning and my right ear was clogged, im not sure what it is and my ears are fairly clean, but this morning when i tilted my head sideways they popped and i could hear now when i layed down again they just went back to being clogged, what should i do?

My ears are clogged!?
I have swimmers ear and they get like this. I suggest trying to flush your ear out with some murin ear drops or some peroxide and water mixture.
Reply:decongestants....
Reply:decongestant, any cold or sinus otc medicine should work. If you don't take care of it soon the fluid in your head will cause infections in your ears and sinuses.
Reply:Chances are you have eustachian dysfunction, and the stock answer is to use nasal decongestants, though they're known to be ineffective. There really is no effective fix short of surgery, so one would hope it's a temporary thing. You'll want to consult your physician if it persists the next few days.
Reply:Glycerine drop
Reply:Olive oil will soften the wax in your ears (if that is the problem)and make it easier to remove.

Clearing Up A Clogged Bathtub?

I bought some Draino for my tub cuz its clogged, but I want to know if this is the best thing to use.

I've never cleared out a clogged tub before.

Clearing Up A Clogged Bathtub?
Try it, but if it doesn't work, get Rooto. That stuff really works better than anything I have ever tried. You'll need to get it at a hardware store.
Reply:You may possibly clean it without the Drano, look at the lever you use to stop the water and use to drain the tub, there should be 2 screws, one to either side of the lever. Unscrew each of these, then pull the unit out, this is the plug that seals the water in and lets the water out. After it is out, then clean the unit, and turn on the water to flush out the drain. After the two units are clean, place the plug back down the hole and line up the two screws and screw then back in place. Be sure to adjust the plate so it is back in the proper place. This also could be messy so wear rubber gloves. Oh, yea, on the plug there should be a couple of adjusting nuts you can use to raise or lower the plugs position to either speed up the draining or to make the seal to hold the water back (if you have a slow unwanted lowering of the water level while bathing.
Reply:I myself do not like using chemicals....It can ruin your pipes if they are old, and if it doesn't work it can be dangerous for the person that is working on unclogging the pipe cause if it gets on them it can give them chemical burns......If it's the tub that is clogged I would buy a snake with a 1/4" cable on it and put it in the overflow valve (the round thing above the drain) and snake out the clog.....You can get the snake at any hardware store. It's a lot cheaper than getting a plumber cause he's going to cost you $65-$150 hr.
Reply:Draino is a very strong acid. you do not want to use it on plastic pipe or if you think you might have to use a plunger as backup. Sulfuric acid can cause horrible burns if it splatters on you or your clothes.

Better to use a metal snake to root out the clog or call a plumber if you do not know what you are doing.
Reply:It is probably hair that is clogging the drain. Draino does not work well with hair. I had the same problem so I got a 3 foot snake from the local hardware store and went through the over flow drain near the top of the tub. I pulled out about a 1/2 cup of hair. Now the drain works good.

Good luck

See our website http://www.ourhomeimprovement.net
Reply:Draino only eats the pipes and causes more trouble, just use a plunger and get the hair out to clear the drain. Then run hot water for a few minutes to rinse it out well.
Reply:get the foaming draino and give it time to work. most people get impatient and try to run water to quickly. just give it a chance. it works great on hair.
Reply:When all this don't work(and I've been there) call a plumber#######

My toilet is clogged help!! matches stuck.?

ok...if u saw my other question...where i had a fun time with sprayed axe on a lite match to make a flamethrower. anyways they were the long matchs prob about 10 inches long...anyways i lite 2 or 3...cracked them in half and flushed em down the toilet. ever since then its been clogged...so i have plunged...prob about 30-40 times and still clogged....i have done everything. i dont have a toilet auger...but i have a drain snake and tried that but it didnt go in properly. i would ask my dad...to buy a auger or try something. but im afraid if he gets the auger and pulls out match sticks...hell get rllyyyy pissed because he hates me playing with fire...im totally lost for ideas how to get it done myself...i was thinking of goin to home depot or something to buy a auger...but checked their website and they dont sell them...i live in canada...maybe they only sell in the u.s i dont no..but PLZZ HELP FASTES / BEST ANSWER 10 points...once the answer is posted ill try it right away HELP!!!!!!!!!!

My toilet is clogged help!! matches stuck.?
I know just how to fix it But I'm not gonna tell ya.I just hope your dad needs to take a huge dump when he comes in bc it sounds like you're about to get just what you deserve......:)
Reply:I don't mean any real offense, and I assume you are young, but don't you suspect that this game will be discovered anyway? DEEP DOO might be a term I'd use to describe this.

Beyond that, the price of AXE certainly doesn't suggest that it's a viable, flammable TOY.

I suggest you keep working with whatever TOOL you have and HOPE. What's on the business end of the snake?

Are there Teeth/rasps/ something beyond just a nub that keeps the snake construction from unraveling?

Find a piece of stiff wire and create a twisty tie at the end of the snake, then attempt its purpose again.

Next time you HAVE to play with fire, do it outside with gasoline.
Reply:You are all so wrong. The matches are not in the P-trap. If you look at the side of the toilet, where the toilet meets the floor, thats is where they are (inside). The toilet drain actually decreases in size a lot where it exits the toilet. The best thing to do, which is not very hard, is to remove the toilet and lean it over sideways and you should see the matches. You will need a new wax seal (available at the hardware store) when re-installing the toilet. An auger is a good place to start, but there is a good chance that won't get them out.
Reply:find a rubber glove and put your hand down the pan

I don't know how anybody can find anything on that website.

Check any hardware store hey should have one(and cheaper too Rigid is more of a pros tool.
Reply:im sorry i dont know alot about plumbing. maybe you can use a coat hanger. Also im not suprised the home depot doesnt cary augers. they never have anything i need. i hate them
Reply:You might try straightening a metal coathanger and fishing around, the matches are probably caught in the trap in the bottom of the toliet. you might be able to break them smaller so they will go down....
Reply:get a metal coat hanger that you get back from the cleaners and curve the end of it. You may have to do a couple of trial and error runs to get the right curve. Work it back and forth because the matches are probably right there within reach.

Middle ear is clogged! Help....?

I had a severe ear infection over Christmas weekend. The pain %26amp; pressure were unbearable. Was given antibiotics, Ibuprofin %26amp; Prednisone. Pain went away %26amp; finally felt pops in my ear rather than constant pressure.

Now my inner ear is clogged %26amp; i can't get it to unclog. I've tried yawning, chewing gum, decongestants only to just get popping. Can't hear %26amp; when I talk it sounds like I'm humming!

Only after I use a heating pad can I feel an inner tickle (like it's about to drain) but nothing.

I don't have a clogged ear due to wax....just an inner ear with left over mucus from my ear infection!

Double sink, 1 clogged drain?

I a have double sink in the bathroom, one side is clogged the other drains fine. I ran an auger through the clogged side and it came out the side that drains fine. What can I do?

Double sink, 1 clogged drain?
Pour some drain cleaner down BOTH drains. After it sits a while you will need someone to hold a rag over the unclogged drain and you with a plunger should plunged the clogged drain. This should do.

As far as the the auger coming up the unclogged drain this happen because the two sinks connect into a T and then go down. Well thew auger went straight across at the T instead of going down. This is normal. Something else you may want to try is under the sink you will find the piping has a plug on the bottom. Put a pan under this connection and remove it. I think you'll find your clog. Once this plug is removed just clean it all up and run the auger in from the bottom up. It should take care of the problem. If all else fails, call a plumber.
Reply:Hi, Go under sink and take the drain plug out and take out all the hair. Then put plug back in and put some drain cleaner down the sink follow the instructions on the bottle. After that a plumber told me to fill the both sides of the sinks at least once a while.with the hottest water you can get and then pull the drain plug. This will clean the sides of the drain pipe and keep it clear .You should try to keep out all the hair from going down the sink by putting in a hair strainer in the sink to catch all the hair.

My ears are clogged!!! PLEASE HELP!?

Im 26 yrs old, never had an ear prob before..Im not sick or have any other problems...I am experiencing symptoms of pregnancy but nothing more. Since the night before last i woke up with both of my ears clogged for no reason at all..i feel like i cant hear that well in either one of them. I tried cleaning them very well, plugging my nose and blowing etc but nothing works, they r stll clogged. sometimes it feels and sounds like what it does when u put your ear to a sea shell (like waves, wind, water etc,.)..it just wont go away (2 days now) can anyone plssssss help me?? driving me nuts!!!

My ears are clogged!!! PLEASE HELP!?
Sounds like you may need the wax "syringed" by a doctor or nurse. Where I live (UK), it's still called syringing, although it is no longer done with a syringe - it's actually washing with a jet of water. It is quick and painless. They usually ask you to soften the wax for a few days beforehand by using ear drops. That makes it easier to get all the junk out.

Don't try messing about with your ears yourself. You can cause permanent damage.

Many people's ears are on the brink of clogging up, and just a little extra wax being created or a bit of movement suddenly renders the ear completely blocked. There's often no in-between phase, you are either hearing OK or not at all!
Reply:As totally embarassing as it sounds, its possible that you have impacted earwax beyond the point where you can reach it. Peroxide and over-the-counter removers work to a point, but it can get so packed in there that you might need to see a doctor to have your ears lavaged. Your doctor is really the only one who can see if that's what's causing the blockage or if its an infection.

Oil furnace nozzle clogged - is this common?

I have an oil furnace. It underwent it's annual service in January. Less than two months later I awoke one cold morning to the smell of fuel oil throughout the house. The chimney was spewing thick black smoke, and the furnace itself was covered with soot and smoking. The serviceman told me it was a clogged nozzle. MY QUESTION: Is this a common problem? Why did it happen? Does the oil service company have any responsibility for this occurring? Can the nozzle clog up in such a short time - or did they not do a good job in servicing the furnace less than two months ago?

Oil furnace nozzle clogged - is this common?
First two guys are correct.

Also, if you have a tank is outside and above ground, these are very prone to condensation build up. If you let your oil go real low prior to delivery, it stirs up all that crap.

If your filter has gone too long for its annual change, debris may have been forced past it. Many oil pumps have a safety screen that can get clogged. This will diminish the oil flow and appear that the nozzle is clogged.

Some less than desireable firms try to clean and re-use old nozzles. This is rare and hopefully not your case.

Put about ten gallons of Kerosene into your tank to help thin and parafins that might have built up in the lines. Also buy the anti-jelling additive at your local plumbing/heating supply. Comes in quarts and you pour it in while the fuel is delivered to mix it up good. Some suppliers will do this for you for a modest fee. (I used to set the can out on the tank and they obliged.)
Reply:...that depends... crappy oil...? sedament in the tank....? or the nozz;e points are not allowing a good-clean burn. whoever cleaned and set the point... call'um say...Hey !!!!
Reply:A clogged nozzle is a common problem. However, a good cleaning once a year, with the filter on your oil tank changed it shouldn’t happen. I’d call your oil people and say ‘what the heck’ You’ll also want to make sure they put the proper sized nozzle on your burner. It is very common for the wrong size nozzle to cause all kinds of problems

Reply:try breathing on the count of four ......inhale, hold, exhale and hold all on the count of four....n the counting is slow that is 4 secs per segment and 16 secs in total.....it wud be ideal if it is done in fresh air in a garden or similar....
Reply:continue smoking and increase the number of cigarettes quotas till the clogging turns into choking a permanent solution
Reply:Quit smoki...

Oh, okay. Pry your chest open with a knife and remove all the gunky stuff. That's about as intelligent as smoking.
Reply:Short of quiting smoking. Get a lung transplant.
Reply:ok the best way is to quit smoking but its very hard because I am also one of them.

The other best way I can suggest is to drink Black Coffee with less sugar... this would reduce your urge to smoke as well after you smoke try to gragle you mounth or try to spit the saliva while smoking. hope this helps you in feeling fine...

If possible also do some pranayana yoga in the mornings to keep your lungs free

be merry
Reply:how about some ginger tea you could by ginger crystals or fresh ginger root and brew a tea not to strong.it helps break up the congestion and sooths the throat. my dad use to suck on a piece of root but it is strong tasting that way, so make tea and good luck!!! try and stop smoking would be best..you think your chest bothers you now it will be brutally worse down the line...lung disease..

Clogged Ear Problem?

I was cleaning my ear with a Q-Tip (probably not the smartest thing to do), and I think the cotton swab went too far down my ear canal, because I cannot most things through my left ear. I've heard of some myths about clogged ears, but I would like to see what the Yahoo! Answers community has to help me unclog my ear

Clogged Ear Problem?
You need to stop using q-tips. What you did was push ear wax over your ear drum. Go to your doc and get it professionally cleaned out. NO more q-tips ever. All they do is cause more ear wax to be made and they shove the ear wax further into the ear canal.

So call your doc or an audiologist and get it cleaned.
Reply:I don't think it is clogged, it might be punctured. You need to go to the docs and find out for sure. Good luck.
Reply:you probably pushed some wax down farther. I use hydrogen peroxide. Put it in your ear keep your head tilted until the "fizzing" stops. Drain your ear of peroxide, Then repeat if necessary.

Clogged newborn tear duct?

My 5 week old has a nasty clogged tear duct. I keep reading breast milk but I don't breast feed. What else can I do?

Clogged newborn tear duct?
Nothing to do with the milk, this is due to immature ducts and dirt getting in. Breast milk has a habit of getting spilled into the eye thats all!

Right, the best way is to massage the duct with a clean little finger. Has she got the 'green gunk' yet? This is the result of an infection casued by lack of lubrication. The GP can prescribe anti biotics, but as a dad of two 5m old twin boys - who got this really bad - there is only one way..

Get some salted water (boiled and cooled) and regularly bathe the eye. Also massage the duct as above. The salt kills the germs and lubes the eye. Give it 2 or 3 days and it should go. Anymore and seek advice particularly if the green gets worse.

its very common and likely to reoccur until the eye gets better resiliance. Its quite nasty looking, particularly if the eye seals up. Just keep the cleaning up to each feed and you will likely be ok.

As you know conjunctivitis is madly contagious - I once scratched my eye after cleaning my boy and I got a swollen red eye in an hour!
Reply:Try warm compresses (like a washclothe) several times a day. Just make sure they are not too hot.
Reply:there isn't really anything you can do. my daughter's was clogged for quite a while. the doc said it can take up to a year to clear out. hers cleared at 5 months.
Reply:Apply a warm, moist washcloth and hold it gently against the area.

(you can gently wipe any gunk away...)

Leave it there as long as you can. And repeat as necessary. You will eventually encourage the clog to dissolve and flush itself away.
Reply:Massage the area a few times a day and saline water, most come right once the hole is bigger, as the baby grows,
Reply:You can massage the tear ducts gently with a warm washcloth several times a day, taking care not to irritate the skin.
Reply:I had this problem when i was a baby and had to have a minor operation to fix it. Take you baby to the doctors who will be able to advise you and prescribe drops if needed.
Reply:My daughter had one too. Just massage the area under her eye and in the corner by her nose several times a day. Keep it clean and dry as much as you can. They usually heal up on their own by age 1. If not the doc will do a quick procedure to clear the duct.
Reply:massage in downward motion with warm washcloth. this situation will probably resolve itself within a year. up to 30% of newborns have this condition, and it self-corrects. my son had it, and it went away (with massage and warm compresses) after about 6-7 months.
Reply:massage outer orbits gently with warm oil

Why do my ears feel clogged?

Ok, so recently, a few weeks ago I woke up one morning and my ear felt really clogged. I thought it was just ear wax build up, so over the next several days, I tried to clean out my ear. One day, I stuck my finger to far, and i cut myself inside my ear and I began to bleed a very little bit. Ever since then, my ear feels completely clogged and it seems as if I have some trouble hearing out of it. And it always makes this small ringing noise, and today it seems like half the face with my clogged ear feels numb. Every time I burp or swallow to balance the air pressure in my ear, I feel it going out of my right ear (the unclogged ear), but it feels like there is this wall preventing the air from escaping my left ear. Can anybody explain the problem?

Why do my ears feel clogged?
Could be a couple of different problems. You could have a build up of ear wax. Sticking your finger in your ear, or using Q-tips are not the answer. All you do is shove the wax down further in the canal. You could also have fluid behind your ear drum, you need to see a Dr. so they can check your ear.
Reply:You need to go to see your Doctor in the morning! You have either ruptured your ear drum or you have an infection...or both!!! Please stop self-diagnosing and get to your Doctor before you damage your hearing permanently! kjl
Reply:My doctor said you shouldn't stick anything smaller than your elbow inside your ear. pushes the wax in.
Reply:A couple of possibilities come to mind. This time of year is a wonderful time to have sinus congestions that will mess up your ears and sometimes bring pain to your teeth as sinuses get jam packed with all that gunk. Taking a good antihistamine and decongestant has always worked for me in that situation. IF, however, you are having increased wax buildup in your ears, there are several treatments which you can buy at the pharmacy or WalMart, etc., wherein you put some specified number of drops in each ear, wait a specified amount of time, and then wash out that ear with a bulb that is provided in the "treatment", filled with warm water, that you squeeze into each ear, washing the wax and other dirt away and down the drain. That has been very helpful to me too. I can't remember the brand I use, but they're easy to find in the store. God Bless you.

Clogged brake line CB750?

Hi, my 1981 CB750k's front brake fluid line is clogged, how can I clean this out?

Clogged brake line CB750?
Remove the line and blow it through with compressed air.

That will shift the blockage
Reply:Yes, replace it.

In a sealed system, you won't find anything large enough to block a hose. If it's the original, it's way overdue anyway.
Reply:Brake lines can expand internally and close up or deteriorate and clog themselves with chunks of rubber. Get a new one.
Reply:Replace it.

Clogged Ear?

I'm getting rid of a simple cold (still have a sore throat), but I drove yesterday, and my left ear clogged up and it is really annoying.. i got some hydrogen peroxide and put some in my ear for a few minutes and drained it out. it got a little worse, so what do u think i should do, it's really bothersome.

Clogged Ear?
you should close your mouth and nose off and blow (like your going to blow up a ballon, but you don't really have one). It is fluid build up and it just needs to be relased.

Clogged singing?

Whenever i sing, it feels like my nose is clogged up. Yet it's not. How do I fix this?

Clogged singing?
Maybe your sinuses are swollen or you have a build up of mucus somewhere. I suggest rinsing your sinuses with a product called Sinus Rinse by NeilMed. It really helped me.
Reply:you may be singing nasally or through your nose. try plugging your nose and singing. if you do not feel vibrations on your nose and are singing regularly and your voice sounds the same then you aren't singing through your nose. if do not sing through your nose then it won't matter much if your nose is clogged. you'll won't sound much different.

Clogged fuel pump?

After driving about 15 mins I turned my car off. 2 minutes later I went to start it and it stalled, started it again and it stalled again. This time when I started it went to stall again so I nailed the gas...it made this noise and then the noise stopped so I let go of the gas and it stayed on. I just drove it again and it started fine. Was the fuel pump clogged? Will this happen again, do I need it changed?

Clogged fuel pump?
change your fuel filter first before blaming the fuel pump.
Reply:Year, make, model, engine size? Could also be a bad fuel pressure regulator if it's fuel injected.
Reply:Sounds like the choke was stuck.
Reply:If your car is a 1996 or newer vehicle there should be a service engine soon light on the dash. If it's lit go to an Auto Zone and have the car scanned for free. Get the codes and find out what systems are effected. If there is no light on, you may have a problem with the fuel system since that system won't throw any codes.

You didn't say what year or type of car you have so that's all the info you get. Fuel pumps don't get clogged, they fail and quit pumping. If that happens you might hit the bottom of the gas tank while someone tries to start the car. It might save you a tow charge if it quits on you again. See a mechanic soon.
Reply:Fuel pumps dont clog, fuel filters do. First I would have the fuel pump pressure checked. If the filter is cloged, it is a cheep fix. If it is the pump, it is in the gas tank and will cost considerable as compaired to the filter.
Reply:So you think the fuel pump is the only thing that can cause this? Do you even know about fuel pumps, like what a sock is. Fuel pumps with socks dont get clogged. I would get it to a reputable repair facility and have it diagnosed by a professional tomorrow. Most likely it will happen again so make sure you have a cell phone in case you get stranded.
Reply:fuel injected cars do not have chokes.

You description of the problem is interesting. especially the noise .

it might have been a fuel delivery problem. So it might be helpful if the fuel filter was changed. Just to be safe.

Clogged toilet! fear of flush! help~?

yes, so i clogged the toilet with some fecal matter, and the first flush didnt work. im really scarred to flush it agian, in case it over flows.

will that tank thing in the back stop the flow if i lift up that chain thingy?

wat shuld i do? i plunged, after it was still, but i dont kno if i shuld flush again....

Clogged toilet! fear of flush! help~?
use plunger till the water level goes down then flush again it will get close but wont over flow then plung slow but hard so you don't push stuff out of the toilet and for your own good open a window two if you can .
Reply:what I do in a case like that I won't flush the toilet for fear the water will overflow but I get a bucket of water which is less than what is in the tank and flush with that if I see some of the water goes through I keep doing it eventually I get it cleared.Hope this works for you
Reply:keep plunging. if it's a newer toilet, when the plug breaks it should go down. if not, find the water supply valve and shut it off before you flush the next time. this will prevent the water from filling up the tank in the back and into the bowl. use a bucket full of water to keep adding to the bowl as you plunge. It should break loose
Reply:If a plunger didn't work, you may want to invest in an auger or "snake". You can find one for less then $10 at the store and it's really handy to have around. It's easy to use and will help clear your drain right up. Just be sure to clean it after you use it.
Reply:use a toilet brush as a plunger that way it breaks up all the stuff as it is plunging then flush then plunge again with a normal plunger
Reply:flush keep plunger right there in case

Clogged Pores?????

I'M OVER 50 AND DAILY, MY LARGE POURS ON MY NOSE FILL AND I HAVE TO PUSH OUT GOBS OF WHITE STUFF. IF YOU JUST TOUCH MY NOSE IT WILL RELEASE THE WHITE STUFF TOO. I'M SO GROSSED OUT. THIS HAS BE HAPPENING FOR YEARS.

I AM OILY AND REALLY ONLY WASH MY FACE 1 OR SOMETIMES TWICE A DAY. I ALWAYS HAD BAD ACNE WHEN I WAS YOUNG, AND I STILL GET BLACKHEADS, BUT NOTHING LIKE THE CLOGGED POURS THAT I DEAL WITH EVERYDAY. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME???

Clogged Pores?????
seek professional help!!! they'll know what to do.
Reply:Try steaming open your pores, by filling a bowl with water and then putting a towel over your hear so that the steam doesn't escape, after you have steamed open your pores, clean them with an instant foaming cleanser, i like Caudalie. Then close your pores by rinsing your face in ice water.

Clogged pores are caused by a build up of dead skin cells which often stick to dry skin, so I also suggest using a moisturizer one a week, be sure to find one specifically for use on your face.

There are also some great buffing creams that are on the market that may help.

Also, drinking carrot juice will clear and prevent any blackheads or breakouts that result form having clogged pores.

1) Do any of your products contain fragrances?

All Dr. Wexler products are fragrance-free; if you detect what you perceive to be a fragrance, it is actually a masking agent such as chamomile or birch that is included to “mask” the natural odor of the formula.

2) Do any of these products contain gluten?

Our products are not formulated to contain gluten. While none of the products contain grain ingredients, alcohols used in products (e.g., benzyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, SD alcohol) can be derived from a grain source which may contain a minute unintentional source of residual protein.

TARGETED SOLUTIONS

1) I have dark circles and puffiness under my eyes – are there products that can help correct these?

There are two products that will address your concerns:

UNDER-EYE BRIGHTENING CREAM visibly lightens dark circles with haloxyl de-pigmenting peptide and vitamin C skin-brightening complex. Our formula has been clinically proven to instantly brighten with optical diffusers and to visibly lighten dark circles.

DE-PUFF EYE GEL quickly reduces visible under-eye bags and puffiness with fortified yeast complex. Our formulation has been clinically proven to reduce the appearance of under-eye puffiness and firms the sink around the eye area.

2) Will these products help fade my scars and/or pigmentation?

SPOT DAMAGE LIGHTENING SERUM is a concentrated complex that rolls right onto problem areas for targeted fast repair and a more even complexion. It diminishes age spots with 2% hydroquinone – dermatology’s most effective skin lightener.

This used in conjuction with our SKIN BRIGHTENING DAILY MOISTURIZER SPF30, and daily exfoliation with either our EXFOLIATING GLYCO PEEL SYSTEM or our RESURFACING MICROBRASION TREATMENT will provide maximum benefit.

USAGE

1) Can these products be applied around the eyes and mouth?

Refer to the individual product information for detail usage instruction and precautions. Those that cannot be applied around the eyes or mouth are clearly marked.

2) Do I have to put the products on in a particular order?

The treatment routine is based on the four step process of “cleanse. exfoliate. restore. moisturize”. The MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM is almost always applied after the exfoliation process and before moisturizing. (Exception: for those with Acne-Prone Skin, the MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM should be applied at night after using the ACNOSTAT™ OVERNIGHT ACNE REPAIR LOTION).

3) Should the moisturizer be put on before or after applying foundation?

A moisturizer should be applied before your foundation.

4) Should a man shave before or after he uses the regimen and how long should he wait?

It depends on which exfoliating system he uses. For the RESURFACING MICROBRASION SYSTEM, use Step 1 (Resurfacing Cream) prior to shaving to soften the beard, and loosen ingrown hairs. Shave and follow with Step 2 (Intensive Hydrator). For the EXFOLIATING GLYCO PEEL SYSTEM, use in the evening when not shaving, so that freshly exfoliated skin is not exposed to the 10% glycolic ingredient.

5) For the Acne regimen, in what order should the products be used?

AM

ACNOSTAT™ DAILY ACNE CLEANSER

MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM

OIL-FREE HYDRATOR SPF 30

ACNOSTAT™ OVERNIGHT ACNE REPAIR LOTION

MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM

TARGET

ACNOSTAT ACNE SPOT TREATMENT (to be used as needed in the morning or at night instead of Acnostat ™ Acne Overnight Repair Lotion

6) Is it normal when starting the system or using a product in the system to experience dryness, breakouts, red spots, or a pinking of the skin? If so, when should that go away or how long should I continue using the products?

Any significant change in you skin care routine can result in transient changes in your skin as it adjusts. These products have been extensively tested for safety and are not expected to result in adverse skin reactions under “use as directed” conditions. As with any performance skin care product, there may be a small number of individuals who do not tolerate its use. In those instances, we suggest that you discontinue use if irritation develops and persists.

7) How soon should I expect to see results?

Clinical results are product dependant. Refer to your product information for details. Although individual results may vary, clinical testing has shown that visible results are expected within 4 weeks of use on the average. Consistent use of the products for longer periods is expected to result in further improvement. However, if you find that our products have not met your needs, we will be happy to accommodate you with our money-back guarantee.

8) Is there an age recommendation for these products or is it made for both teen and adult skin?

These products were clinically tested with healthy adults, aged 18 and up.

PRODUCT SPECIFIC

1) The package says the MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM has professional strength MMPI. Is there a %?

Our proprietary MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM formulation contains the highest percent level of MMPi technology found in any of our formulations. It is also the purest form of MMPi clinically shown to diminish visible signs of aging.

2) What are the benefits of the MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM?

The MMPI SKIN REGENERATION SERUM is clinically proven to firm skin, visibly improve skin’s surface inside and out using a professional strength anti-aging solution; it will help diminish the appearance of lines, the sink and the sag. It is able to dramatically increase skin’s elasticity. It actually works to help halt the harmful effects of existing MMPs while diminishing the formation of new ones, resulting in younger-looking skin.

3) Can the MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM be used as a moisturizer alone?

The MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM is a problem solution product therefore it is not intended to be used as a moisturizer alone, although individual needs vary. We always recommend using a moisturizer with an SPF after applying the Serum.

4) Is the MMPI SKIN REGENERATING SERUM oil -free?

Yes.

5) Can the SKIN BRIGHTENING DAILY MOISTURIZER SPF30 be used in other areas a customer has age spots besides those specified on the directions (exa. hands)?

In clinical testing, the SKIN BRIGHTENING DAILY MOISTURIZER formulation has been shown to significantly brighten the appearance of skin on the face, however we have no reason to believe it would not provide brightening benefits if used elsewhere on sun exposed skin.

USAGE WITH OTHER DERM PRODUCTS

1) Can patients on another skincare regimen prescribed by a dermatologist use these products, for example, Retin A?

We recommend that you consult with your Dermatologist.

2) Can I use just one (or some) of the products in the line with my own skin care regimen?

For best results, the products in the Dr. Wexler line were designed to be used together in the described regimen; however, each of the products was tested individually and can be used with other skin care routines. Please review the details in the product information for proper skin care advice.

There are no expected supplement and/or drug interactions expected with use of these topically applied cosmetic and OTC products.

3) Will these products work with my rosacea / exzema ?

Clogged nose?

is it me or do others have this and why. one nostril always seems clogged and the other ok. then it switches sides. always seemed silly to ask people but hey im curious. why does it do that or am i the only one! spare me the jokes

Clogged nose?
Your nose blocks as an allergic reaction, one nostril is more sensitive and acts first. The second is slower but starts to block. No breathing and you will die and your body realises it is doing its job too well, so it opens the first nostril so you don't die. This is the more sensitive nostril so it starts to block again. etc.
Reply:sinusitis
Reply:Here's a great trick to get your sinuses unclogged. When you shower, spray the warm water on your face, then slowly turn the water to cool, then back to warm -- about 10 seconds each time. Do this back and forth, warm to cool for about five or six times, and it will unblock your nasal passages, both sides.

Clogged duct?

i'm breastfeeding and i think i have a clogged milkduct. what can i do about this? my left breast is painful to touch on the left side i pumped and have fed on this side. it is better but still hurts. i think it was caused by my son not eating very well yesterday because he is sick he has RSV. my breast got engorged and then i noticed the pain but we were at the hospital so i couldn't really do much.

Clogged duct?
Just try to express as much as you can whenever you can. You're not going to cause your baby to go hungry if you manually express - a hot shower and massage will help - just massage where it feels painful, hard and/or hot to the touch. You can prevent a mastitis this way.

I hope your little one feels better soon!
Reply:take a warm shower and breastfeed as often as possible. it will be painful but the best way to get it to unclog your milkduct is to keep nursing... eventually it will feel better.
Reply:Work on getting everything out of that breast as soon as you can. You do not want it to turn into a nasty infection. I have had 3 infections since my little boy was born 3 months ago and they are AWFUL!!

Get into the shower, and turn the water on as hot as you can stand it. Let it run over your breast, and begin working on the hard spot. Massage it pretty thoroughly, working downward towards the nipple. Usually if you squeeze that side you can feel a bump inside the nipple. Just express milk in the shower until the hardness subsides and until you can freely express without feeling any little nodules or knots. Even though it hurts, have your baby eat from that side at each feeding. Start on that side, and then switch the baby over to the other side after the baby empties the painful breast.

Also, if you have a clogged duct you should be able to see it. If you squeeze your nipple it will look like a whitehead/pimple. If you have something like that, try the shower first, and then try working the clog out when you are out of the shower. Sometimes a little pressure will clear it up. If you have a pump you can try that too, just remember not to overpump that breast because you don't want it to produce even more than it is producing now.

Ahhhhh, the joys of breastfeeding! I'm so sorry, and good luck in clearing it up!!
Reply:Take warm compresses and place on breast for at least 20 minutes. You can also boil a tea bag, let it cool a bit and then while its still warm, place it on the nipple for about 15 minutes. There is a natural healing agent in the tea that will help to clear this up. You also need to pump when hes not eating. Good Luck. From a nurse
Reply:When you feed him always feed first with the breast that's in pain, that way he'll suck harder. And at the same time massage that painful spot. If he doesn't suck long enough - pump. You need to get it unclogged. When i got mine clogged, i put warm compress and then nursed and pumped and because it was really painful my husband massaged while i was pumping. Next day it was all gone.
Reply:Feed him as much as possible and a hot compress on your breast should help
Reply:also to add to the hot compress make sure u drink plenty of water
Reply:Drink lots of water - do the shower thing and if you find your self in the hospital again (God forbid) make sure you ask for a pump if you can not feed - the nurses, especially in peds, should understand and be more then willing to help you out.

Clogged pores causing scarring on my arms?

I've had what I'm pretty sure is clogged pores on my arms since I was a kid. My arms are covered in scars from this. How do I get rid of this problem? Is it connected to the fact that I am obese?

Clogged pores causing scarring on my arms?
I have similar issues, whatever you do don't squeeze them or pick at them it only makes them worse and leaves scars. And I'm not sure if it is because you're obese but I have a theory that like acne it could be caused by consumption of oily foods. I keep lotion on them to keep them softened, but if you can't help but pick(I don't recommend,it only leaves the pores more open and bigger to be clogged and scarring)always apply rubbing alcohol afterwards it helps minimize infection and scarring but I would put lotion on after they are dry because alchol can dry out your skin.

Clogged toilet?

Water started filling up to the brim, so I had to cut off the water supply really fast so it wouldn't overflow....now the water has drained and I plunged, and I'm pretty sure it's unclogged. But when I turn the water back on and flush again, it still keeps filling up to the brim! Does that mean it's still clogged? I'm pretty sure it isn't...I hope someone can help with this, my landlord will take his sweet time getting someone out here to fix this and I don't want it to be days before I get this toilet working again! Help if you can...thanks!!

Clogged toilet?
Hi

It is still clogged somewhere, try to keep plunging. Get the odd bucket of warm water and tip it down the pan.

Persistence is the key.

And oh next time make sure that what you are putting down it will get away. I am assuming you know what you tried to flush away, was it the landlords cat?
Reply:use an auger, it is a snake like pole with a crank on top. as u push it down you turn crank this should clear it.
Reply:don't eat so much bad food and keep plunging . it will drain. make sure you have a good seal around the hole and the plunger
Reply:If it's still overflowing that means it's still clogged. Toilets don't just overflow because they feel like it.

Clogged duct?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant. For the past two days I keep getting a sharp pain in my right breast. It only happens in one spot on this one breast. I felt of it and in the spot where I am getting the pain, there is a lump. Could I already have a clogged duct? If not, what else could it be? If it is, what can I do to relieve it?

Clogged duct?
You may not have a clogged duct but to see this what i would do. i have a child who i breastfeed for six mths, take a warm compress on the breast to relieve the pressure and pain some milk may come out. This how you would regularly make your milk come down, if you do this three to four times see a doctor.
Reply:This probably isn't something that should be ignored. Place a call to the nurse at your MDs office; after talking to her, decide whether you need to be seen earlier than your next scheduled appointment. This may be nothing or it could be very serious.
Reply:Better not assume anything.

Go have it checked by your Dr.
Reply:I got one while I was pregnant. Just let it alone and it will go away. If it gets really painful, bring it up to your doctor.
Reply:I honestly don't know how common clogged ducts are that early in pregnancy, but if you feel a painful lump in your breast, you should talk to your MD about it.

If it is a clogged duct, you may need antibiotics for it. If it is just related to hormones from the pregnancy, your MD will be able to put you at ease.

My throat feels like it clogged up after i eat. its wierd, it happens expecially after i eat. It gets kinda hard to swallow. i only happens sometime. does anyone know what this might be?

Clogged throat?
I knew someone who had similar symptoms with hiatial hernia. Could probably research it online. They sometimes got food stuck and would periodically have to have their esophgus stretched (not a huge deal). More common in people with acid reflux.

Obviously I don't know if that is what you have, but good luck.

Why does my homemade smoothie clog my kitchen sink?

I like to blend up smoothies at home, but after rinsing out my blender jug the bits of smoothie still left in the jug seem to clog my sink after they dry. If I don't make a smoothie for a while my sink doesn't seem to ever clog. It's only when I do start rinsing out my blender jug from making a smoothie does the sink seem to clog. I use orange juice, bananas, oranges, and strawberries. Any advice?

Why does my homemade smoothie clog my kitchen sink?
pour the rinsed stuff in the toilet, the pipe is bigger, or freeze it and put it in the trash for pick-up.
Reply:If your kitchen pipes are like mine, their angeled just a little bit. Things get stuck in it . Not every thing mind you, just certain things. I've repiped under that sink, too many times to count ,because of that problem. The drain is just a little bit higher than the pipes leading to it. So the water is trying to travel uphill you might say. Thanks Alot Dad! My father remoldeled the kitchen in 1974.The sink was moved from one place to another. The sink now sets lower than it was. Sooo-- Just be carfull of what you put down it! I don't think you can put larger drain pipe in, I think it's all 21/2 inches for kitchen.

Clogged Pores????......?

what would be the best facial cleanser to buy for clogged pores, that will minimize them as well...And a good moisturizer that wont cause break outs??

Clogged Pores????......?
First of all, I suggest that you go see a Dermatologist so they can tell you what is the best to use for your skin type. My doctor told me to use Cetaphil Facial Cleanser and the Cetaphil Facial Lotion with Sunscreen SPF 15 along with it both can be found at a pharmacy drug store. The Cetaphil Facial Cleanser (which has been working great for me, my skin has not been dry and has cleared up since I have stopped using all the other big brands), is very gental and cleanses the pores without any harsh chemicals. it is created by the same company that makes the prescription acne gel Differin (which the Dermatologist suggests to use along with the Cetaphil Facial Cleanser if you have an acne problem). she told me to NOT use store brands that claim to fight acne and all of that like neutrogena, st. ives, ponds, loreal, clearsil, etc. because they all over dry the skin and causes the pores to over produce oils which causes the pores to clog up even more and cause acne. that's how they sell the product...your skin keeps clogging up, therefore you keep buying it.
Reply:I've found that alot of daily scrubs are very irritating because most of them have glycolic acid, which dries out your skin. One that I found that works and doesn't irritate is (Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub 5oz for about $8). Aveeno also has very good daily moisturizers depending on your skin type and how much spf you want. If you find the daily scrubs to harsh, you can always try exfoliating once a week. For the once a week routine I love (Mary Kay Microdermabrasion step 1 $30). The beads are so fine and leave your skin sooo... soft! I could have been a little more specific on my moisturizer advice, but not knowing your skin type makes it difficult. Sorry!!! I hope the rest helps.
Reply:well. first of all, before you wash your face, you need to open up your pores to get the deepest clean you can. you do this by Boiling water, and putting your face above the steam for about 10 minutes. don't get too close to the water though, don't burn yourself. that opens up your pores. and wash %26amp; mosturize with pro active!!! i know its expensive, but it reallllllllllyyyyyyyy works! trust me! and only do the hot water thing about once a week.
Reply:simple: you can clean your pores yourself...

start with clean skin.

step 1. fill bowl with very warm water...

place bowl on towel on a table.

with another towel..make a tent over your head and hold your face near the bowl...for about 10 minutes

your skin will now be soft enough to clean.

with clean hands, gently press your pores...do not squeeze hard...you just need gentle pressure.

no squeezing near your temples....

only your forehead area, chin, cheek and nose.

do this weekly.

since your pores clog, you don't need a moisturizer..your natural oils are sufficient.

remember to keep your hands clean for extractions and keep face washed 2-3 times a day.

I have been using Arbonne - Re9 anti aging line.

They also make a regime for younger people (18-30)

I have samples of both if you are interested to see if it helps or your face loves it.

When you find a regime that works, stick to it or during trying out something give it a little time.

Each one of the above I have has a mask to try out.

Also be careful of the make up you use. All natural and a mineral based foundation is best -
Reply:I like Aveeno Daily Radiance Cleansing Pads and Murad AHA/BHA facial wash. Aveeno is the best bargain - 30 pads for about $7. One side is smooth %26amp; the other is texturized for exfoliation. Murad runs about $30 so I use it sparingly.

Neutrogena makes some good face masks - one is a clay mask w/ benzoyl peroxide and one is a gel mask w/ salicylic acid. I can recommend the clay mask but haven't tried the gel mask yet.

Haven't found a great moisturizer yet. Clinique's basic yellow moisturizer is good but pricey. The gift w/ purchase promotions kinda help justify the expense a little.
Reply:I have clogged pores so i use acne free it say on the box better that proactive i think it works GREAT!so u can buy this pack that is only 19.99 it comes with face scrub which is step 1 and toner step 2 lotion step 3 and this zit stuff step for and it will last u like 2 months i love and u can buy it in wal mart target k mart and places like that so hope u try it and if u try it hope it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:I have always had a problem with acne. I have really large pores and I'm very proned to blackheads. I don't mean to sound lame, but PROACTIV really works. It's about $40 for a 3 month supply and worth it. 3 steps, (1) facial scrub cleanser (2) pore refining toner (3) repairing lotion. Easy! Works great. I've heard that Wal-Mart has their own brand and works just as great. But I stick to the sure thing cause it works for me. You can buy pore refining toners in just about any cosmetic isle. This is what you need. It shrinks your pores but will dry out your face if you don't use something else with it.
Reply:Medicated Acne line from Bee-Luscious Cosmetics the foam wash and minimizing toner are incredible products and I highly recommend them. Its on beeroyalproducts.com
Reply:Usually I used a clay mask to suck bad stuff out of my pores. I've been using a pretty good Alpha Hydroxy mask from Walgreens, I believe that's also the brand name of the mask. I maintain healthy pores by cleansing my makeup off entirely with MACs Cleanse Off Oil then following with a mild soap like Dove to remove the residue. Steaming your face with a store bought device (bed bath and beyond!) works too.

Clogged tear duct cream?

my son is now 11 weeks old and he has had a clogged tear duct since he was about a week old. It seemed to be getting better but now it is gettin bad again. So i brought him to the doctor today and the doctor gave me a cream to use. but the directions on how to use it dont really make sense for a baby. has anyone used this cream and how do you use it (apply it)?

Clogged tear duct cream?
Are you breastfeeding?

The reason I ask is that the breastmilk can be massaged into the eye. Just squirt a little into the affected eye and rub. It worked for my two sons.
Reply:the best medicine for a blocked tear duct is breast milk, my nephew had a blocked teae duct and it didnt right itself till he was twelve months old

i wouldnt be using any creams for this as this problem will fix itself
Reply:TERRAMICINA..... worked wonders for my son... put it on one night... next day.. like nothing.

Its is a mexican creme, but hella works!!!!
Reply:When I used it I opened her eye then put a little inside the bottom of her eyelid kinda on her eye. I then closed her eye and massaged it in.

Clogged ear?

My ear feels really clogged up. It feels like there's a cloud between me and the sound when someone talks to me. It doesn't hurt so i don't think it's an ear infection. Does anyone have any idea what it could be and how i might fix it?

Clogged ear?
It might just be a wax buildup in your ear. Before going to the doctor go to the drugstore and look for an ear cleaning kit. I think Murine makes one. It comes with a rubber squeeze thingy for water and some drops to help break up the wax. Follow the directions to the letter.

If that doesn't work, then you need to go to the doctor.
Reply:Have you been swimming lately? or could water have gotten in your ear while showering? If so, it may be water. Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide in your ear, let it sit for a few minutes, then flip over and let it drain out. If that doesn't work, it may be a buildup in your ear or wax. It happened to me once, go to your general practitioner and they'll check it out and use a special "thing" that will remove it. No pain, no discomfort, just a really funny tickling sensation. Good Luck!
Reply:I do this all the time and let me tell you it saves me lots of trips to the doctor for swimmer's ear. I take a syringe, you know the kind you get in the ear cleaning kits. I fill my sink with lukewarm water and turn my head with the ear I am trying to clean towards the drain. I keep dunking the syringe in the water and shooting the warm water in my ear. I do this over and over (probably 10-15 times) quickly until the wax pops out. I always get a nice chunk and it totally grosses my family out but it works! You'll feel great after. Do it every 6 weeks or so.
Reply:You should put a bit of alcohal in the ear thats clogged up and just leave it there for about 30 seconds then turn your head and the alcohal should take all the water out
Reply:A visit to a Doctor for some ear drops; you have a middle ear infection.
Reply:Go to the drug store and get the EAR drops and squeeze syringe and follow the instructions - it works quite well...
Reply:I love this sight it helps with any home remedies from ear aches to ache
Reply:go to the doctor.

That is the best way.

Clogged drain or broken washer?

I don't know if it is my washing machine or plumbing. While the washer is pumping water out, in preparation for the spin cycle water seems to be going into the drain pipe fine. When the washer stops pumping, water overflows the drain pipe, and some water runs back into the washer. When the water runs back into the machine there is not as much water as was used in the rinse cycle, so some water is definitely going down the drain pipe. The washer is in the basement, and the drain pipe is located several feet above the washer. The tubs and sink drains (upstairs) do not seem to be clogged. I have a septic tank.

This problem started after I washed a pillow and quilt that was unbalanced, causing the washer to shift around a bit.

Anyone have any clues where or how to trouble shoot?

Clogged drain or broken washer?
I think you have a significant blockage in the drain pipe between the washer and where the drain pipe meets other drain piping. If the blockage were downstream of that connection, I would expect waste water to flow into the washer when any other drain were being used.

Looks like a job for a snake from the hardware store.
Reply:could be gravity working against you.Try cutting drain pipe down alittle. I had an object in the drain that cut the flow down , it stil drained but not completly.
Reply:The drain is restricted somewhere down line of the stand pipe. Snake it or call a plumber.
Reply:Call a plumber.

Clogged toilet?

My 3 yr. old had clogged the toilet with too much tissue. Each time I flush the water comes up the rim like it's about to flood but it doesn't. After half an hour the water goes down but when I flush it it starts to rise again. Besides plunging, which is doing nothing, what should I do? Is there anything over the counter that I can buy to unplug it?

Clogged toilet?
Plunging really ought to fix this if given enough time for the paper to get "soft" But you can buy a toilet auger sometimes called a "closet" auger ant any home center. Looks like a 3 foot long letter "J" and has a "snake" in the center. Just slip this down the hole and twist away........make sure you buy one with a rubber sleeve over the bottom to keep from scratching the toilet.

For a quick cheap fix ........ Get a wire coat hanger and untwist it......bend a little hook on the end and go to digging away!!! (push-pull-twist) Good Luck
Reply:as a last resort.. Lowe and Home deport sell a toilet snake that works fast...NOT a plume rs snake that is too large and not flexible..
Reply:You need a good plunger, use it as fast as possible with the toilet bowl full of water. If this don"t work you may to unbolt it off the floor.
Reply:Use a plunger. They can be bought at any hardware store
Reply:if it's only tissue paper plunging it would take care of the problem. So i thing he put something else in there. I would go to the hardware store a get that wire thing that you fish through the pipes they sell small ones made just for that kind of job.
Reply:Go purchase a 'closet arguer'. It's a hand driven snake used for toilets. If that doesn't clear the problem, you'll have to pull the unit from it's mount and see what's stuck in the main.
Reply:My first question when you said you plunged it was what type plunger did you use. If you used a red flexible one they won't plunge a toilet. They are designed for sink drains. To plunge a toilet you need a bell plunger. Home depot sells bell plungers and toilet augers. My guess is maybe your child flushed a hair brush, toothbrush or toy down the toilet. Don't ever throw Q-tips in the toilet as they will hang up in the neck and you will never get them out even with a closet auger. The below link will show you a picture of a closet auger.

http://homerepair.about.com/od/termsaf/g...
Reply:I'm assuming you've tried plunging it? If not, get a toilet plunger and really plunge it for a long time. If this doesnt solve your problem, unfortunately that means there is something in the main pipe that needs to be removed. To unclog the main pipe, you have to call a plumber. They most likely will have to open up the main sewage drain and snake it from that direction to pull out whatever is clogging it. I had to have that done in my old house when I first moved in. It ended up that someone had clogged the main pipe by flushing one or two paper towels down the toilet. Good luck fixing your icky problem.

Clogged ear?

what do you do to an ear that just suddendly clogged? Would blue tooth cause this effect, i am using a Motorola.

Clogged ear?
warm up olive oil or some sweet oil and take a dropper and drop at least 3 drop of oil in the ear that is clogged and hold your head over so that it can go down in you ear and you will hear a pop and then you know that it is in there and then hold head over so that it can drain out do not use a q tip it will clogg you ear back up just let it drain out on its on.
Reply:if you ever need any other help i would be happy to assist you at any time. Report It

Reply:Ear wax! best method is to remove it by flushing with simple warm water.

Get a bulb syringe (like they use for newborns--they have a bulb like appearence)

Either have someone do this or you can do it over a sink. Use the suction of the syringe to gather warm water and gently flush ear. The force of the water will dislodge the wax and you will see it as it come out.

No--the water will not get trapped in your ear.

Use of the oils will help stop this from occuring again.

Please do NOT use a Q-Tip as it will only pack the wax further down and could rupture the ear drum.
Reply:You probably have a build up of ear wax. There are over-the-counter medications to help with that. Go ask your pharmacist or chemist. Otherwise check with your doctor, they may have to do an ear canal wash.

It's not your phone.
Reply:Are you talking about your cellphone...or your actual ear? Either get to a doctor....or get to your wireless dealer.
Reply:Your hearing is nothing to mess with. I would strongly suggest that you have it looked at.

I didn't take care and have a devil of a time understanding what is being said. Friends have nicknamed me "what?" Using Blue-tooth with your phone should not be the problem.
Reply:many reasons why:

1. water! lean on one side and j u m p till the water comes out.

2. wax build up... get some ear drops prescribed, i know of a kind called tropex.

3. other complications: see your great and mighty doctor.
Reply:A coworker of mine had a similar problem. She went to her doctor who said it was fungal build-up initially caused by swimmer's ear and vacuumed it out. She's much better now and very glad she went to the doctor.
Reply:use peroxide. works awesome. I use it all the time. It breaks down all the wax and helps a lot. When you pore it in it will tickle. It is going to crackle and stuff. once the crackling stops roll to the other side to let it drain out. Good luck

Clogged up air conditioning vents in car?
try a powerful shopvac at the vents and as mentioned remove the blower motor for better access to the big chunks and maybe even M-i-c-k-e-y mouse...
Reply:remove the blower motor to remove debris/bedding from hvac housing first

Clogged Ears?

My ears feel very clogged, with the feeling you have on an airplane when you are at high altitudes. I was curious if there are any over the counter medications that could remove this fluid in my ears. I don't have an ear infection per se, yet it is extremely uncomfortable.

Clogged Ears?
i would suggest putting olive oil in your ear then plug with a cotton bud to soften the wax if this dont help there are lots of over the counter rememdies or pop to the doctors :-)
Reply:Try the Murine ear drops that you can purchase over the counter!
Reply:sweet oil
Reply:Ear candles, they are hollow candles that you stick in your ear and light. The flame at the top of the candle creates a vacuum that sucks out a ton of ear wax. You can get them at any health food store like Whole Foods market.
