My toilet is clogged. My husband has tried draino - nothing. He tried to snake it - but it's not working. We can't afford a plumber. Any ideas to unclog it? I'm thinking it's one of those flushable toilet wand cleaners or a tampon???

how about the old fashioned plunger? another way is to boil water and pour and let it sit. of course don't pour so much it will over flow. The second way is to pour an entire bottle of bleach into the toliet and leave for several hours, and then plunge.
Reply:Would not recommend Draino, when using a plunger it is the up movement that unclogs the drain so keep that in mind. You may have to remove the toilet, its not too hard.
Reply:Unfortunately, the toilet will probably have to be removed and checked for a blockage.
If the toilet is removed, make sure to replace the seal when it is reinstalled otherwise you're setting yourself up for leaking.
Since Draino has been put into the toilet, it's probably not a good idea to plunge or snake again - there's a possibility of the water backing up and might splash in your eyes/face.

P.S. DO NOT put bleach in the toilet and then plunge - again - you're gonna get it in your face/eyes!
