Clogged sink...need help!?
Liquid drain opener will work. It is thicker and heavier than the water, so it will sink through the water and continue down until it hits the clog.
Reply:Try Drain-o it penetrates straight through water if it doesnt work i would suggest dumping out some water with a bucket of some kind then try a draining liquid
Reply:Plungers %26amp; drain cleaners work OK when the stoppage is in the pipe before it enters the main stack (The pipe in the wall that goes up %26amp; down.)

Drain cleaner has to get to the stoppage to work %26amp; if the stoppage is down the main drain a couple of feet it just don't work real well.

Now if the drain is draining even if it is real slow. When the sink is empty you can pour a little cleaner in %26amp; as it drains down you add more. It can take more than a quart of cleaner to get to the stoppage. You have to fill the trap %26amp; several feet of pipe.

Now at times the pipes are full of a greasy mess of glop %26amp; it will just slide down %26amp; block the pipe again. So you may have to treat it several times.

Another choice is a plumbers snake. Some times you can snake it down through the drain in the bottom of the sink.

Other wise you have to open the pipes under the sink.
Reply:put a bucket under the pipes...take the pipes apart and clean them out.
Reply:Go to Walmart in the plumbing area there will be this long plasic thing..it has what looks like "teeth" on both sides... buy that and stick it down you drain
Reply:try putting baking soda in both sides, then warm up some vinegar on the stove and pour over the baking soda. this always works for me.
Reply:Whilst you are boiling a jug of water, use a pot or bowl, and then a mug to get as much water out as possible and empty half the jug of boiling water down each hole
Reply:Hey, environmentaly friendly solution! Pour in some bicarb soda, i use about half a cup, then pour about a cup of white vinegar in. This causes a little volcano, try it a few times if it doesn't work straight away. I use this method when the water drains too slow, it stops it becoming a big problem. Hope this helps! :)
