Clogged fuel filter?

How do you tell if a fuel filter is getting (or is) clogged?

Thanks

Clogged fuel filter?
poor acceleration, a hesitation, or if it has been 40,000 miles since the last time you changed it.
Reply:You vehicle will start running rough and eventually start to stall. If it is completely clogged, your vehicle won't run at all, because no gas is getting to the engine. Preventative maintenance will almost ensure that it won't get clogged. Have it changed about once a year.
Reply:Misfire, hard to start, poor acceleration, poor fuel economy. These can also be signs the car needs some preventative maintenance. (tune up, oil and filter change, fuel filter change, new belts and hoses..etc) When was the last time you did some work on the car?
Reply:YOU WILL BE SHORT ON FUEL

the fuel pressure at the fuel rail and fuel inectors will be low
Reply:Lack of power/performance. They don't cost much and it's good preventative maintenance to change them.
Reply:A fuel filter isn't generally something you check. They should be replaced every so often, or if a symptom leads you to it, most of them are cheap enough to change as part of the diagnostic process.
Reply:age and if you motor is starving for fuel . for example not going over 2000 rpms.
Reply:NO OR POOR ACCELERATION.

IDLES ROUGH.

ENGINE STALLS.

IN SHORT REPLACE THE FUEL FILTER ONCE A YEAR FOR YOUR SAFETY.
